Freaky Friday

Today is Freaky Friday. I am taking an MG break. Sometimes I totally get tired of hearing myself talk about MG. So I decided to share about my precious little weiner dogs. Bella and Mia are both red miniature dachshunds. They are gracious enough to let me live with them. Our vet says that Bella and Mia look like bookends. Even though they look so much alike, their personalities are totally different. When MG is behaving, Mia and I love to go for walks. Bella is afraid of everything and stays home. Mia is scared of nothing! Bella shivers when she sees the trash cans on trash day. Mia bit a German Shepherd on the head during a walk a few weeks ago.

I am not sure how it happened but they are both spoiled rotten. Bella is very vocal. She is the mouthpiece of the operation. She demands her food, signals someone is at the door and begs (in a very loud voice) for treats. Mia is more subtle. I like to sit with my laptop in the living room. Mia and Bella curl up on the couch beside me. Quietly I hear Mia make a very soft and low "mmmmm" sound. When I look over at her she has one eye open and another soft "mmmmm" sound. I take the cover and put it over her. She is cold. Poor doggie. Todd says I like it cold enough to hang meat. Mia doesn't like to be cold. She curls up next to Bella. Mia is under the cover and Bella and I are on top of the cover.

Each of us is different, too. I have learned to celebrate our differences. I am grateful that God has given each of us special talents and that we all have special roles in His kingdom.
