The truth is God is in control. He has my best interests at heart and He knows my desires and needs. My Bible reminder for me today is "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41: 10, 13

FEAR
In case you can't tell from previous posts, I really like acronyms a lot! I have heard FEAR described as False Expectations Appearing Real. My favorite acronym for FEAR is Finding Everything a Risk. My upcoming IVIG infusion on Friday is on my mind.Changing to a different IVIG drug feels like a risk for me. I am feeling some fear that I will not do well with the infusion. I am fearful that the next several days after my infusion will be filled with fever, chills, aches and pains. Staying in bed for days, feeling sick and having no energy does not excite me. I know that fear is not a healthy feeling for me and I know in my head and heart that God is in control. Yet, fear is what I feel. Fear can be paralyzing. It is also not so helpful in relieving stress. Stress makes my symptoms worse. SO!! Why am I fearful?? I think part of it comes from not being in control. I like being in control and independent! MG has a mind of his own. His needs outweigh my desire to be in control and independent.

Isn't there something to help with those symptoms? I sure hope there is.
